A Unique Historical day in his 45 years since he landed in Sierra Leone and made of it a Home. Paramount Chief Honourable Cyril Foray Gondor II of Upper Bambara chiefdom in Kailahun District honoured Dr. Adonis Abboud with an honorary paramount Chief status in his chiefdom. The honour according to PC Cyril Foray Gondor II is to appreciate the developmental ventures of Dr. Abboud in his chiefdom and the country as a whole.
The coronation of Dr. Adonis Abboud was ignited by his development initiative in Upper Bambara chiefdom especially with the provision of satellite television systems to the Pendembu vocational secondary school as well as the Catholic school. According to Honourable Paramount Chief Cyril Foray Gondor II his pronouncement of honouring Dr. Abboud with such status is to recognize his immense contribution and humanitarian work especially in the field of healthcare, community development and education.
Dr. Adonis Abboud is a household name in Sierra Leone due to his developmental work at local and national level with humanitarian support to children with congenital heart condition, through his organization called Pikin Bizness. Receiving the honour, Dr. Abboud called on Sierra Leoneans to embrace the spirit of unity for the development of the country.
The coronation of PC Dr. Adonis Bambamoi Abboud was also followed with his adoption as member of the Kailahun District Decedent Association. A mini laboratory was pledged for the Pendembu seconday school as well as sets of solar backup for the community center and the school.
Pikin Bizness a Non-Governmental Organization set up in 2001 with the purpose of helping vulnerable children with health problem has been successful in rescuing many children with hole in the heart after successful surgeries in different hospitals abroad. The Organization was founded by three philanthropist: Dr. Adonis Abboud, CEO/ Babara Bangura and Shelac Sunny Davies. Pikin Bizness in collaboration with its partners Chain of Hope, a London based Organization known for their humanitarian work in Europe and the third world countries, Royal College of Pediatrics and La Chaine de L’espoir has been supporting several kids in need of heart surgery to fly them overseas.
