SIERRE LEONE BEST GOSPEL RAPPER CHURCH BORBOR [ Official Music Video is out]
So SLAAM took the time to find out about the person behind the latest trending gospel music video song “Jesus me #1” released in early March 2020 by gospel recording hip hop singer/songwriter and music Director – Matthew Bockarie commonly known as “Church Borbor”.
Church Borbor who won SLAAM 2019 Award for the best gospel Rapper of the year was interviewed by the Chairman of SLAAM Giileh Scholz on his newly released video song entitled JESUS Me #1.
According to Church Borbor he has previously recorded and released Church Borbor, Satan Na Borbor Man, Born Again and The Greatest Name.
Plus two new songs and more coming for 2020 by the grace of God.
Jesus Me #1 was sang and shot in collaboration with a Nigerian born recording artist Bolingo. Depicts the beautiful beaches and scenery of lovely Sierra Leone. The Video was shot by Sierra Leonean born Master PV. Showing the goodness of God in all circumstances. Matthew’s musical skills through study at Mercury Studios, USA and over 15 yrs in the industry are clearly seen in this blessed production.
He is a committed member at Jesus Is Lord Ministries and also an Ambassador for the Ignite Team / Flaming Headquarters Church.

After a fine season, Church Borbor won the BEST GOSPEL HIP HOP STAR 2018 at the TPM, SIERRA LEONE NATIONAL GOSPEL AWARDS 2018, Best Gospel Hip Hop Gospel Academy Awards (GAA) and most recently Best Gospel Rapper Sierra Leone Association of Artists & Musicians (SLAAM) Awards – 2019.
